EVENTS: A Lively Dialogue: US Consul General Meets Students and High School Pupils in Plovdiv

	Macrh 28, U.S Sofia Embassy Consul General Daniel Perrone visited the University of Plovidv and presented U.S. Government work and travel programs to high school and university students. In a lively and friendly atmosphere, Mr. Perrone answered young people’s queries on types of visas to the US, visa requirements, study opportunities and exchange programs with the USA, as many in the audience have been considering visiting the US for brief and longer study periods, or as prospective participants in the Work and Travel Program.
	Students who have already benefited from these programs also shared their ‘hands-on’ experience and provided their peers with valuable information, advice and personal stories related to their experience of US culture and lifestyle.
	Among the audience there were representatives of the regional Fulbright office, which also offers assistance to pupils and students interested in study opportunities in the US. The American Corner at PU is very grateful to the US Embassy for the initiative and we hope the fruitful cooperation will continue in the future.
